Exercise Eclipse

Exercise Eclipse aimed to examine the tactical and operational issues, business continuity and resilience at local level in response to pandemic influenza. In excess of 80 participants took part in the multi-agency, table-top exercise in Leicestershire on Thursday 6th October.

This exercise followed on from the successful regional influenza exercise Arctic Sea and identified further valuable lessons for those organisations taking part. Since the exercise a number of workstreams within the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Local Resilience Forum have met and reviewed the lessons learned.

Further similar exercises, facilitated by the Health Protection Agency, are taking place for the other LRFs in the east midlands region.
