Civil Protection News
Civil Protection News is a quarterly newsletter produced by CCS for civil
protection practitioners. The first edition was published on 1 November
2006.
Civil Protection News is one of a number of initiatives which form a
programme of work driven by the Civil Contingencies Secretariat to improve
communications with practitioners. This programme aims to: improve the
availability of information for practitioners; help them to address key
issues; support the sharing of good practice; and explain what central
government is doing to support them in their duties.
The first issue of Civil Protection News includes articles from the
Department of Health, Home Office, Government Office for the South East and
Hertfordshire County Council. It covers a broad range of topics including
pandemic flu to geographical information systems.
